Samalytics Comment Bot ("the App") is a personal automation tool operated by Samantha Guillen. It replies to viewer comments on the YouTube channel @samalytics with a link that those viewers have asked for. This policy explains exactly what the App accesses and what it does with it.

Who uses the App

The App has a single user: the owner of the @samalytics channel. It is not offered to the public, has no sign-up, and creates no accounts. If you are a viewer who commented on the channel, the App does not hold an account for you.

What the App accesses

With the channel owner's explicit consent, the App uses the YouTube Data API v3 under the youtube.force-ssl scope. Through it, the App reads:

• public comments left on the @samalytics channel, including the comment text, the comment ID, and the commenter's public display name and channel ID;
• the identity of the authenticated channel, used solely to confirm the App is operating on @samalytics and no other channel.

The App writes only one thing: a public reply to a comment that contains the word "link". It does not edit, hide, or delete comments, and it does not touch videos, playlists, captions, ratings, or channel settings.

What is stored, and where

The App runs locally on the operator's own computer. There is no server, no database, and no hosting provider involved in its operation. Two files are kept on that computer, readable only by the operator's user account:

• an OAuth token used to access the YouTube API on the channel owner's behalf;
• a list of comment IDs already replied to, so that no comment is ever answered twice.

No comment text, commenter name, or other viewer information is written to disk or retained after a run finishes.

What is never done

• Data is never sold, rented, or shared with any third party.
• Data is never used for advertising, profiling, or analytics.
• Data is never transferred to any server operated by the App.
• Data is never used to train machine learning models.

Limited Use disclosure

The App's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access and deleting data

The channel owner may revoke the App's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access immediately and permanently stops the App from reading or writing anything. The locally stored token and comment-ID list can be deleted by removing the App's folder from the computer it runs on.

Children

The App is not directed at children and collects no information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revision date above will be updated.
